I am sitting in a tall tree, hidden by leaves. There is a boy next to me. I am his yin, He is my yang. And we know we are going to die. We had lived life as it was, How it will always be, How it had been. How it was, is, and shall be. I look at him. He looks at me. I sigh and put my arrow down. And we wait. We wait for someone with a knife, A spear, A silver blade. Someone to end us. Because we know we are going to die. I reach over and hold his hand as we await our fate. A shadow arises from the brush. I look at him with teary eyes. It doesn't have to end. Not yet. Slowly, I let go if his hand. I take out my bow.

Castle in the Sky

On the castle in the sky, humans never see eye to eye And the nature there knows that each one tells a lie. Humans say they will they will help Laputa and make the nature prosper But every animal on Laputa knows humans want to abuse its power. The crystal in the center, see, holds powers more than it's worth And it can easily be used to control all mankind on earth. "Bow down to me, beg on your knees," Kings with no love will become greedy and never please. Only the loving do not do this; only they see eye to eye, On the place full of secrets and treasures- Laputa, the castle in the sky.

Rise

When she wakes up in the morning, she lazily hovers. Her bright head peeks above her covers. She puts on blush a beautiful shade of red And curls her hair in white wisps above her head. Slowly she rises, a little by and by. Her smile is so bright it lights up the sky. In the afternoon, she wears a blue dress. It slowly fades less and less. Towards the end of the day, her cousins come to see her. They're small but bright like she is, their white scarves a blur. They talk together, they giggle and laugh. All the days feel cut in half. And she lies down in bed all too soon. You'd do that, too, if your brother was the moon.

I had a dream, not so long ago- Well, that is, two years or so. And although I usually remember my dreams, From this one, far away, I remember but one scene. There was a little cat, see, orange and striped. He was wearing a space helmet the color of white. And this may sound odd, and not worth your while, But this dream was dreamt in cartoon-style. He was in an air tank deep in the sea, With a smile so cat-like, he seemed to stare at me. The fish around him where not at all mean, And everything, it seemed, was colored in green.

Petrichor

After it rains, I see light. Others see darkness. When I look up in the clouds, I feel a new beginning. Others see gray bundles of yarn, carelessly strewn together. When I take a deep breath, I can smell everything. Mist. Dew. The wind. Others smell Mondays and mud. As the lonely people walk under shadows, their umbrellas hide their faces and their expressions are woeful. I don't mind them as I take in the petrichor.
